Thanksgiving at Ming's Diner

We took the road less travelled for Thanksgiving this year with a vegetarian dinner at Ming's Diner in San Francisco. As I've blogged about before, Ming's features an all vegetarian banquet dinner with surprisingly lifelike facsimiles of meat and seafood dishes. This year, they jazzed up their traditional walnut prawns, um, a fruit salad. Strange, but the kids loved it. Cameron had three or four "shrimp" and I lost count with the fruit. :-) Posted by Picasa

Cousin Leanne is telling me an important secret

Must....concentrate....so...I...hear...the...entire...secret. :-) Posted by Picasa

Mmmmm....popsicles!

Nothing like a popsicle dessert at ah ma's... Posted by Picasa

Can I play with the super soaker, please?

Please, huh daddy, please? The super soaker? Posted by Picasa

Yes, I'm pleased to be filling up my water bottle

All the kids love playing with water. Here's Katie demonstrating her "I'm filling up an empty soy sauce container so I can go water grandma's plants" look. Posted by Picasa

Cheese if you please

The kids put on a show a few mornings ago. I have no idea where Colin got the idea to appear as if on stage (or on tv?) or where he learned that emcees need a microphone and should tell the audience to sit back and enjoy popcorn. Or, for that matter, where they learned that "cheese if you please" song.

ATC at the holiday faire

All Things Creative hosted a booth at the school holiday fair. They got a couple of orders on the spot and a good set of prospects as well. Hurrah! Posted by Picasa

Cheese!

Christine Szeto kindly came over to take our family's pictures for Christmas this year. She's such the great photographer! How come our shots never turn out like this? Posted by Picasa

Video of the cool gym

Here are Colin, Katie, and a few other kids in action at the cool gym where Ryan celebrated his birthday. Katie is very pleased with her gymnast outfit. :-)

Me too, me too!

Cameron can't resist joining any fun that Colin and Katie are having. He'll plunge right into whatever the older pair are doing, regardless of whether he's ready for it -- or whether everyone else is a foot or three or five taller than him. :-) Posted by Picasa

Time to fly

All the kids had a fabulous time celebrating Ryan's 6th birthday at a cool gym in the South Bay. Not only did they train a bunch of scholarship-class gymnasts, they definitely had the most complete set set of gym equipment we've seen to date: trampolines, climbing walls, pits filled with foam blocks, bouncy floors, the whole nine yards.

Here's Colin leaping into the pit filled with foam blocks. Posted by Picasa

Early Thanksgiving banquet

Our church celebrated Thanksgiving early this year -- to stay out of the way of family celebrations. One of the big food hits this year: pumpkin mousse with a nice ginger snap like cookie instead of the traditional pumpkin pie. Yummy! Posted by Picasa

Happy birthday, Jeremy!

Buddies Colin and Ryan had a rollickin' good time at fellow buddy Jeremy's birthday party. Chalk up another happy afternoon at Junior Gym! Posted by Picasa

Laughing baby

Cameron is our good natured baby who thinks everything is hilarious. But not nearly as hilarious as this baby finds even the slightest sound. As the link on Digg.com points out, even better than a Tickle Me Elmo!
