This footbridge and bike path connects Foster City and Coyote Point. It's a far cry from the old rickety bridge that used to be there when I biked there something like 10 years ago. Actually, I think the old bridge is still there.

Normally, I'm a fiscal conservative when it comes to public spending. But seeing a bridge likes this makes me think maybe we ought to spend a little more on the Bay Bridge reconstruction -- we'll want something that makes us proud over the many years it will be standing.
